Stage-One Familiarisation
SFI ltd carry out a familiarisation of the façade specifications, employer’s requirements and any other professional team reports that will have an input on the façade performance requirements such as the structural engineer’s movement and tolerance report, as well as service engineers thermal model report and acoustic engineers report.
Stage-Two
Pre-Manufacture
On commencement of the specialist façade contractors design the consultant will carry out a technical review to ensure compliance with project specification and client requirements together with all applicable statutory requirements excluding those pertaining to fire and combustibility.
Stage-Three Production
The consultant will provide attendance on site at agreed interval to inspect that façade works are carried out in accordance with the approved design details and specification and that the sub-contractor is demonstrating the appropriate level of expertise, craftmanship and quality. The consultant will undertake a detailed photographic and written record of all observations and findings.
Stage-Four Additional Items
SFI LTD will review the content of the sub-contractor’s tender proposals.
Design Meetings
SFI will be in attendance at design meeting during the design phase.
Operations & Maintenance Manual
We will then undertake a general review of document produced.
General Liaison with Design Team
Provisional allowance for additional works.
EWS1 Sign Off (if required)
We will arrange and provide an EWS1 certificate that has been produced by a suitably qualified independent chartered building surveyor (MRICS).
